It’s like a village transplanted in the city

Posireddy Yagappa Reddy
May 24, 2023
He is the quintessential villager at heart having been born and brought up in a tiny hamlet in Nalgonda district. Yagappa Reddy lived the typical life of climbing trees, jumping into ponds, plucking fruits and eating them straight, drawing water from wells, milking cows, distributing the milk and curd to neighbours et al. “I studied in a Telugu medium school,” Yagappa walks down the memory lane, “When I moved to Hyderabad for my higher studies, I struggled a lot to adjust to not only English medium but also the atmosphere which was very different. I missed nature, my friends, rural environs, everything I experienced in our village.” A successful businessman who built his factory from the scratch, Reddy is an unassuming as they come. He wears his wealth lightly and doesn’t take the trappings seriously. “It is just the means to live a happy family life,” he says nonchalantly when you ask him what he feels about his achievements.

His constant search for getting back to rural life ended when his daughter found Organo through online research. “My daughter Sushma was very impressed with what she saw on their social media and website. We went to Antharam first and loved the whole experience. Everything from farming to cluster houses, goshala, solar power, just about every aspect was much more than what we were looking for. It would have been our perfect weekend home but we needed more space as a multi-generational family. That’s when they told us about Kandawada. It worked out well for us because not only are they spacious homes but also super luxurious. We didn’t think twice. How could we let go of such an opportunity?”

Three generations of the Reddy family are looking forward to the Kandawada experience. “The day we move in, we’ll feel that we have finally settled down because Rurban way of life is what we have been seeking and specifically I have been looking for eversince I left my village. I can finally live close to nature, do some hands-on farming, living in a happy community, celebrating festivals, just about do everything I always wanted to do in my life,” Yagappa concludes.
